What happens on the day
Vectors marked while you sit upright
Tissue falls differently lying down, so planning happens with gravity working normally. You will see the marks in a mirror before we start.
Local anaesthetic
Entry points are numbed thoroughly. You are awake and comfortable throughout — most patients talk through the whole thing.
Threads placed and tensioned
Each thread is passed through a cannula and drawn until the tissue sits where we planned. You will see the lift happen in real time.
Three to five odd-feeling days
Tightness, some puckering, occasional bruising at entry points. Sleep on your back, no dental work, chew soft food for a week.
Review at six weeks
The lift settles as swelling resolves, then collagen builds along the thread lines for three to six months.

PDO thread lift questions
How is this different from a facelift?
A facelift removes skin and repositions deeper layers surgically, lasts a decade or more, and requires general anaesthesia and weeks of recovery. Threads reposition without removing anything, last twelve to eighteen months, and cost roughly a fifth as much. If you need a facelift we will tell you rather than sell you three thread lifts.
Can I feel the threads?
For the first fortnight, sometimes — a tugging sensation when you smile widely or yawn. Palpability that persists past six weeks is unusual and worth a review appointment.
What happens when they dissolve?
Polydioxanone absorbs over about six months, leaving the collagen it stimulated behind. You do not fall off a cliff — the lift fades gradually, and most patients retreat at twelve to eighteen months.
Who actually performs my treatment?
Dr. Ramos performs every surgical and injectable procedure himself. Facials, laser and IV therapy are performed by licensed clinical staff under his supervision. You will know which before you book, and you will meet whoever is treating you at the consult.
What does the consultation cost?
Nothing. It runs about twenty minutes, you get an honest read on whether the thing you want is the thing you need, and you leave with a written quote you can take home and think about. Nobody will chase you to book same-day.
